USPTO Rejects WordPress Foundation’s Bid to Trademark “Managed WordPress” and “Hosted WordPress”

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has refused the WordPress Foundation’s attempts to trademark “Managed WordPress” and “Hosted WordPress” — at least for now, according to new filings. The refusals, issued on August 22, cite problems the USPTO first raised in February that the Foundation failed to fix, including a requirement to disclaim “Managed” and “Hosted,” vague goods and services…
