<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Performance Lab plugins</h2>
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>As a consequence from the <a href="https://make.wordpress.org/core/2025/03/11/performance-chat-summary-11-march-2025/">previous meeting</a> and last week’s release (which for the first time saw releases for only a few of the performance plugins, without Performance Lab), changes to the release cadence were defined</li>
<li>Specifically, the team will change release cadence from monthly to on-demand (which could be more frequent or less frequent).</li>
<li>Consequently, the release procedure will be much more streamlined, avoiding the previously used “release party” format in favor of someone simply following the <a href="https://make.wordpress.org/performance/handbook/performance-lab/releasing-the-plugin/">release handbook</a> and sharing progress along the way.</li>
<li>Related to that, <a href="https://profiles.wordpress.org/westonruter/" class="mention"><span class="mentions-prefix">@</span>westonruter</a> has taken the separate <a href="https://make.wordpress.org/performance/handbook/release-party-chats/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">release party chats</a> handbook docs and moved the relevant example chats inline with the sections in the <a href="https://make.wordpress.org/performance/handbook/performance-lab/releasing-the-plugin/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">releasing the plugin</a> handbook page. This eliminates the duplication of release instructions between the two resources.</li>
<li><a href="https://profiles.wordpress.org/mukesh27/" class="mention"><span class="mentions-prefix">@</span>mukesh27</a> shared that PRs <a href="https://github.com/WordPress/performance/pull/1795">#1795</a> and <a href="https://github.com/WordPress/performance/pull/1818">#1818</a> are ready for review.</li>
</ul>
