WordPress Performance Trac Tickets
- @joemcgill Nothing specific for WP 6.7 at this point. I expect will produce a final set of benchmarks for the release and write up a performance review post, as has been our tradition for the last several releases.
Performance Lab Plugin (and other Performance Plugins)
- Performance Lab plugin and the following performance plugins:
- @westonruter I’m working on some underlying changes for Optimization Detective to make it more reliable on sites with long page caches: https://github.com/WordPress/performance/issues/1496#issuecomment-2467310343
- @westonruter we’ll only be releasing new plugin versions for Performance Lab, Optimization Detective, and Modern Image Formats. The milestone for Speculative Loading is mostly just for the readme along with some PHPStan changes that don’t warrant a release.
- @joemcgill are there outstanding PRs from any of those that you need additional support to get landed this week?
- @westonruter advised that @flixos90 will review the ones for Optimization Detective
- Still working through the details on this draft PR, thinking about whether it’s the best way to solve the problem. Any thoughts welcome: https://github.com/WordPress/performance/pull/1641
- For Performance Lab, the only outstanding PR is the ajax feature activation which will need more review and some iteration: https://github.com/WordPress/performance/pull/1646
- @mukesh27 I got some feedback for https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-develop/pull/7522 from Felix that i will check when i back from vacation
- @joemcgill highlighted that @flixos90 asked for additional feedback on the expected outcome of that ticket here
